The $20 Project: Lunch for 2 and Some Dinner Too
Being almost perpetually on a budget these days, I was particularly excited to give my take on this project. As most things I do these days also involve my fiance, I wanted to find a way the $20 could benefit the both of us. Well, I found that in Rancho Bravo Taco Truck.
Rancho Bravo has been reviewed several places recently, so I won’t bore you with too many details. (Though I’m a big enough fan of their food to want to share a few of them with you.)
More after the jump.
The day: Saturday
The time: 1pm
The occasion: Intense hunger
The solution: A whole lot of food.

That’s a lot of food. The quesadilla might not look all that big, but we ate two pieces on the way home. The chorizo tacos are close to perfection in a taco. Meat (a lot of it), onions, corn tortillas, and a slice of radish. These tacos aren’t weighed down by cheese, lettuce, or worse, sour cream. They are tacos as tacos were meant to be enjoyed.
We had plenty for lunch and even had a couple wedges of quesadilla leftover for dinner.
Total cost: $14.
We had enough leftover for a peanut butter and jelly cupcake at Trophy Cupcakes ($3.95) and two sodas from 7-11 ($2).
