If you were Neumos, you’d vote for these people

Well, this is amusing.

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but it’s voting time. On top of all of the other endorsements [mb], an email from Neumos just came in, highlighting their endorsements based on who might be kindest to the music scene, and maybe even willing to fight on its behalf against some of the crazypants rules the city is trying to pass. They think you should vote for:

JEAN GODDEN: Jean understands the contribution that Seattle’s music scene has made (and will continue to make) to this City and has been willing to step in to stop bad policy that puts that scene at risk. Jean is level hea ded and solution oriented. Jean is very qualified and has proven herself to be a leader that is in step with Seattle. Keep Jean on City Council.

TIM BURGESS: Tim is highly qualified to serve on the Council and has won a wide range of endorsements, including all of the environmental groups, leading Democrats and labor leaders, and business leaders. Tim has consistently opposed the Mayor’s nightclub license scheme. His opponent, David Della, favors a license. As a former Seattle police officer, Tim has an excellent perspective on this issue. He favors hiring more police officers. As a small business owner himself he understands what it’s like to start a business, meet a payroll, and make a profit. We need Tim on the City Council.

VENUS VELAZQUEZ: We know Venus and we trust her. While she made a mistake which she acknowledges, in our mind that does not change the fact that she is s till the best candidate for the position. She is the most qualified, has the most experience with issues and importantly, has come out in support of Seattle’s music scene. Venus will be a supporter of creative businesses and will support diversity in our arts communities. Venus can be part of a different way of thinking at City Hall. We need Venus on the City Council.

I like this idea. Showbox, do you want to get in on this? Chop Suey? Crocodile?

I just had about 14 different reactions to this. But mostly it was “what?”

Um. Thanks for your input, Neumos. I guess.

    I love it.

I think Victrola needs to weigh in on who will be friendliest to coffee shops. And Costco, who is the best port commissioner for big box stores? And most importantly, to you, 74th Street Ale House, yea or nay on Prop 1?

Come on now. I have only til 5 to vote.
