Why ruin a perfectly good film? =) Alien was possibly the best horror movie I ever saw. The sequels, while good, were more sci-fi action. Alien was just... well, I guess it'd be cross-genre. Jaws is a subtle form of a horror movie, I think. Up there with Rosemary's Baby, another good one. Why would I talk about the remake of The Omen? Why ruin a perfectly good film? =)

Alien was possibly the best horror movie I ever saw. The sequels, while good, were more sci-fi action. Alien was just… well, I guess it’d be cross-genre.

Jaws is a subtle form of a horror movie, I think. Up there with Rosemary’s Baby, another good one.

Gothika genuinely scared me. I created my list by what actually scared me, which is different for everybody. Most lists I see are "classics." There are a lot more "classics" I could have added to my list, but they didn't scare me. For instance Alien--I don't find alien movies very scary--Jaws didn't do much for me either. The Omen I thought was incredibly, incredibly stupid, if you're talking about the remake. I haven't seen the original. Nor The Thing nor the Japanese Dark Water.
