Teddy Bear is great! Currently living in the wasteland that is Cottage Lake (I went for 8 and a half days without power during the windstorm!) I prefer to go to Duvall instead of Redmond or Woodinville for most of my eats. Teddy Bear BBQ is awesome, the Duvall Grill and Taproom is awesome (great beer selection and fantastic food), the Ixtapa is really good (the family that owns it owns this little chain of Mexican restaurants that are all along highway 2), and The Thai Restaurant is pretty good too. I have yet to have bad eats in Duvall and encourage anyone in the area to give them a try. It's a cute little town with plenty to eat and drink.

I've gotta agree with you on your assessment--I was never so happy to discover a new restaurant. I live near Duvall, and it has been a culinary wasteland out here for ages. Things are picking up, but I am so glad to have a quick, cheap place for dinner when it is late, we are tired, and just rolling back through town after some day-long activity. The ribs truly are excellent. Had guests last night who lived in Texas for years (unwillingly) and have finally been able to high-tail it to Portland. They declared it the best BBQ they'd had since leaving the Lone Star State. Good enough for me.
