Panic! at the Disco cover The Band

… And now day 1 of Bumbershoot can be called complete. Panic! at the Disco celebrate band member birthdays in a shout out to the chaperones in the crowd by covering “The Weight” to a sparsely attended Memorial Stadium.

(Why, again, didn’t the Shins get the Saturday night headlining slot? Sure, the kids up front were loving Panic! at the Disco, but the stadium was bordering on packed early in the afternoon when the Shins took the stage. Fans claimed seats high into the bleachers and others covered the astroturf getting occasional relief from the heat from the security staff with hoses. )

Feh, that’s because everyone who was anyone was at the Gogol Bordello set. P!ATD was a stupid choice for the first night’s “mainstage”.
