Westlake plaza was crowded today

Today on my way to lunch I noticed that there were way more people in Westlake than usual–and there are usually quite a few at lunchtime, especially on sunny days like today.

When I got closer, I realized that the crowds were there for “free” lunch:

Many more photos after the jump.

I put free in quotes because if you have to fill out a form, including a publicity release, and stand in a down-the-block-and-around-the-corner long line, I don’t think you’re getting your burger without cost.

This is not the actual burger people got:

There were also interactive design-a-burger booths but not too many people seemed interested in them:

A guy in the “Wendy” wig was out talking to people.

There were a couple local businesses with booths, too.

If you are looking for a job, maybe these people are looking for you.

People with and without burgers enjoyed watching today’s band.

So that was why Westlake was more crowded than usual today.
