Corona brings Extreme Volleyball to town

Volleyball has always seemed to me to be one of those games that looks a lot easier to play than it really is. The rules are simple enough to learn but it takes a lot of work to become skilled at it. I can’t even imagine how much work it must take to become good enough to become a volleyball pro, like the men and women of the EVP ( Extreme Volleyball Professionals) Tour, sponsored by Corona, which comes to Alki this Saturday, the 25th. I’m thinking it’s probably pretty cool to be a professional volleyball player, though. volleyball.jpg

If you’d like to check out some exciting volleyball action for yourself, the tournament is free for spectators and begins at 8 am; besides the matches that are going on all day, there are free volleyball clinics for anyone who wants to learn the game or improve their skills at it. If you’re already confident in your skills that you think you have a chance at scoring some of the prize money, you can sign up before the event at the tour’s website for a chance to play.
