Tuesday is a voting day
It used to be that we had our primary in September, but this year the primary is being held early–in fact, it’s tomorrow. Here in Seattle there are a races for seats on the Seattle School Board and the Seattle City Council. There’s also a vote on a King County parks levy. More than 90 percent of the voting will be done by mail, election officials predict, but, still, the majority of people eligible to vote won’t bother.
In an attempt to remedy this state of affairs, the state is taking the bold step of providing downloadable graphics for MySpace users and allowing users to send out e-mail reminders about the election to their contacts. Visit the Secretary of State’s webpage to view these.
Thanks to the P-I for the details.
