everything’s coming up broadway : crazyberry

Crazyberry

What’s this? Another new restaurant on Broadway? Walking home from brunch on Sunday, I was amazed to see that “crazyberry” seemed to have appeared in “the Heights” overnight. Where once there was an empty institutional storefront, now was a brightly colored yogurt emporium. If I hadn’t just purchased a mint chocolate chip cone at Dick’s in celebration of the unfortunately rare warm August afternoon, I might have ventured in to give it a try.

Meanwhile, it looks like Seattle Bon Vivant took the challenge and, placing it in context with similar California-based chain, pronounces it worth your time:

… The place struck me as really friendly and easier on the pocketbook than the LA version but with a much smaller array of toppings. Bear in mind, Crazyberry has not even announced a grand opening yet but if you find yourself in the area with cash in hand, do stop by and try it out. The owner is on-site, super nice and the yogurt is quite yummy … [seattlebonvivant]

So, pinkberry fans: how does crazyberry stack-up? Suitable replacement or pale imitation?

Oh! I just noticed this on my way out of Seattle and did a double-take because HOLY CRAP IS THAT A PINKBERRY??? I am quite curious to try it out on my return, even though their three flavors are almost too much to handle.
