Funny, I found the thing boring and small for the money. I'm glad it's there - it probably brings some people to Seattle just to see the thing. However, it felt like time wasted. I'd rather read/watch science fiction than look at plastic guns and old comic book covers.

Almost forgot! That Hamilton series Christy mentions is pretty awesome. I read it last summer after stumbling across a mention of the author in one of those SF anthologies. I will have to say that I thought the end was lame, but it was still worth the read.

Oh, I was just *itching* to write some book titles down, but all I had to write on was a PDA with a faulty data-input pad ... which, come to think of it, sounds like it belongs in a sci-fi story.

Funny you should mention the books. Last time I was there I wrote down two: Kate Wilhelm's "Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang," and Peter F. Hamilton's series "The Reality Dysfunction." Turns out "The Reality Dysfunction is an epic series, 6 books total, so I've been reading it for a couple of months now. It's great, but pretty hard SF if you're into that sort of thing.
