Coffee. Free wi-fi. And A/C.

So here’s something I’m looking for. I’m working from “home” the next couple of days, and when I work from “home” that usually means I decamp to El Diablo for the afternoon. (The morning? Well, I’m usually at home.)

The thing is that tomorrow it’s going to be in the mid-80s here in Seattle. I don’t want to start the long discussion about what weather wimps Seattleites can be, but when it’s mid-80s outdoors, indoors in a cafe is frellin’ hot.

So, I’m looking for an alternative location for my laptop and me to camp out tomorrow. I’m just after three things: Coffee, free wi-fi, and air conditioning.

Ideas?

Err, why not just sit outside at el diablo? They close the back patio?

That table is too low for me to set up my laptop.

Library? Downtown has starbucks, wifi, and (IIRC) AC.

Or there must be a coffeeshop with AC somewhere! My favorite place down here in Oly has fantastic AC; back when I was a teleworking gal, that was the very bestest place to go in hot weather.

There’s a place on 4th & Wall that I can’t remember the name of that I seem to remember has AC. (Yeah, that helps. Just not my neck of the woods.)

Tully’s? Cupcake Royale? Ballard (or any other branch with wifi) library then duck around the corner for coffee?

“That table is too low for me to set up my laptop.”

That’s why it’s called a laptop computer and not a tabletop computer. =)

    (I really couldn’t resist that)

Uptown Espresso on Westlake, south of Mercer, meets all your requirements.

Your use of the word “frelling” made me laugh as it reminded me of a recent Warren Ellis (comic book god) post about the word: http://www.warrenellis.com/?p=4628
