Have you donated to KEXP’s summer pledge drive yet?
I know, I know; the pledge drives are more than annoying, and it’s the one time I move my dial away from Seattle’s greatest radio station. But, contrary to most of our friends over at Seattlest, I think KEXP is awesome, spectacular and fabulous, and they more than deserve my support and yours. I pledged for the first time last winter and felt that philanthropist glow, or something, for supporting a local need. Plus, as a member you enjoy tons of discounts and benefits around town (for those “get something back” types).
They’re 90 percent of the way to their goal, and as soon as they hit it, they can stop the annoying fundraising stuff and just get back to the music….
If you listen to the station every day, have discovered new music thanks to the DJs, go to their shows, or listen at work to get you through the day…don’t you think that’s at least worth something?!
