My Nomination for Best Reason to go to a Show

header.jpg
Last night I had the great pleasure of attending the opening party for Noise for the Needy at the Sunset Tavern and it made me wish I had no plans for the next week so that I could support this great cause and enjoy these great shows in their entirety. Unfortunately, I am a little booked, so I am hoping that the population of Seattle picks up on this unique and amazing event and heads to it. Over the next 5 days, Noise for the Needy is producing a series of concerts around the city, all of which raise money for a local charity, Rise and Shine, which helps kids and teens affected by HIV and AIDS.

There are a lot of great benefits in this city, but here is one that took some of the best venues in the city and placed great local and national bands together in bills I would want to go to either way. The people organizing this spoke at the party last night and they all just seemed like the kind of person you want to give a big hug to and thank for putting this great program together. Since everybody can’t do that, just head out and see their shows, make this a success so that we see more great causes like this supported in such unique and entertaining ways!
