Months ago [mb] I warned you that sometime soon the 45 millionth visitor to the Space Needle would be ascending and winning a party in Paris. According to people who probably didn’t need to count on their fingers to figure this out, that’ll be happening this weekend–tonight, maybe, unless the rains keep people away. In which case, tomorrow [P-I].

All I’m saying is, if you were thinking about heading up, this weekend might be the time. And hey, if you win, you get to bring a guest with you. Have I mentioned that I’ve never been to Paris?

If you don’t want to go but are breathless with anticipation, you can always watch the counter. I might be spending the next day or so sitting on my balcony, staring at the Needle and waiting for balloons and confetti to rain over the city when it happens.
