Happy Syttende Mai!

For those opting out of the many, many options for this evening, may I interest you in a parade? Enjoy the out-of-doors and Ballard’s Scandinavian heritage in, oh, about 20 minutes, as the Syttende Mai (Norweigan Constitution Day [wiki]) parade starts down Market Street. Follow it up with a Dance to Smilin’ Scandinavians Band:

Dance at Leif Erikson Hall, 2245 NW 57th, Seattle
Time: 9:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Cost: $10 at the door
Must be 21 years of age or older
No-host bar

Be prepared to boogie!

(Don’t forget to be kind to the dance floor and wear flat-soled shoes.) [#]

I’m sorry we didn’t post this sooner, but I kept thinking that our resident Scandinavian expert - Peter - would decide to pop-up from across the globe to tout this event. Alas, he must be having too much fun in Europe boogieing or something.
