dueling crime blotters

Kathleen Turner in Serial Mom

Not to be all Sloggy and RE: a previous post, but I couldn’t let Kristen’s local paper crime blotter story remain unchallenged [mb]. As everyone on the west side surely knows, one of the truly compelling reasons to read the West Seattle Herald each week is for the pure entertainment that the crime blotter brings.

Please direct your attention to my favorite snippet from this week’s edition, which I’ve decided should be called Serial Mom [imdb] in Training:

“After an altercation between their children, two women have become engaged in a squabble of their own. On Wednesday afternoon, one of the mothers allegedly ran up to the other and sprayed her in the face with a mace-like substance. Since then, the victim has received several hang-up phone calls and one threatening one. She has been advised to call 911 if the other mom appears again.” [wsh]

I also link you to this NSFW (and definitely not for children or sensitive peoples) clip of the prank call scene from the film: youtube.
