Taking lessons in Seattle
My neighbor recently knocked on my door to give me a head’s up regarding the violin lessons she recently started. She didn’t want anyone to be alarmed by the strange noises emanating from beyond our shared wall. Kind of her, I thought.
Her treating herself to lessons for her milestone birthday got me to thinking. I have many more than 43 things on my to do list and I haven’t gotten around to doing any of them lately. Too busy not spilling my drink and all that. In any case, since our little neighborly lesson tete-a-tete, I’ve been looking at Craigslist [cl,les] and the Stranger [#] and that sweet Discover U [#] brochure that’s by the bus stop to see what kind of lesson I should take.
By the way, if you haven’t looked at these sites under the lesson/class lists, I highly recommend you do so. It is amazing to see that aside from all the requisite music, language, and workout classes/lessons/tutoring out there is a huge range of options offered, such as:
- cheese making (totally awesome)
- circus-rope climbing (strange but could be cool)
- make your own felt (why?)
- house of worship safety seminars (paranoid much?)
- LGBT/Queer/Gay Breakdancing (so many questions)
but in the meantime, would you mind helping a gal out? I made a list of all the classes I was interested in and after much deliberation (with drink of course) I’ve narrowed it down to the 5 below. Would you be so kind as to clicky-click which you think would be most fun? Thanks!

I can’t believe flying lessons isn’t winning.
The part they don’t tell you about the flying lesson is that no plane is included.
Discount flying lessons sound sketchy…
