Could it be true?
I’ve heard rumors recently that there might be an H&M moving to town. Is this just some sort of tease? I have a roommate who has been bugging H&M Corporate offices for the lst 5 years now, as she makes her annual shopping vacations to other cities around the country that have them: the 3 in San Fran, all over New Jersey. Even Indianapolis has one. But not Seattle, Portland, or Vancouver (opening fall 2007). She sent me a link today to an article in the Puget Sound Business Journal that talks about the topic, but it is only for paid subscribers.
For the sake of cheap lovers of clothing in the Pacific Northwest, I hope that H&M finds a space–soon!
Ann Arbor, Michigan has one. I thought that was a sure sign that they had saturated the market.
I LOVE H&M! When I backpacked through Europe, it was the first stop we’d make in the major cities. Obviously, we had our priorities straight.
I’ve always been confused why places like, well, Ann Arbor, Michigan have one and not Seattle. Come on H&M, get it together!
My wife talks about the place like it’s some sort of shopping Mecca. We went to one in Manhattan that was having some sort of sale or something. It was pandemonium and my wife waded right on into the thick of it! Like a tuna in chummy water I eyed the scene and decided to go to the bar across the street and wait for my wife to call me. Probably the wisest decision I ever made aside from marrying my wife.
The real crime is that there’s no Neiman Marcus here, my boyfriend totally tricked me by not mentioning that before I moved.
