Ah Yes, Freeway Park was a “Topography of Terror” back in 2002 when the Stranger published its article ( http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=11685 ). Since then, changes made reduced the crime there by 90% within 3 years per Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeway_Park_(Seattle). I have never felt unsafe there, although, admittedly, I don’t wander through late at night.
Nice. A real life success story in de-terrorizing! I’ve only been through parts of Freeway Park once, and still found it a little creepy, but not necessarily terrifying.
