Mayday! Mayday! Traffic headache

Today’s May Day. I know all of you are super excited to get home so you can leave baskets of flowers on your neighbors’ porches and skip around a ribbon-wrapped pole, but please avoid using your car to do so. A May Day rally downtown will be tying up bus and car routes from Queen Anne to Safeco field and from the waterfront to I-5. The parade will run from 4 to 6 p.m., and a number of streets will be closed to traffic. To top it all off, the Mariners play tonight at 7:05, which is bound to turn a traffic molehill into a mountain. King County Metro advised commuters to leave their cars at home or to travel before 3:30 and after 6:30. Bus rerouting information can be found on King County Metro’s Update/Announcement Web page. Good luck. I know I’m gettin’ the heck out of dodge…

Man, I am so screwed…I have a dentist appointment downtown at 3:00. There’s no way I’m getting out before everything goes to hell. Guess I’ll be hanging out and doing some shopping or something.

    Hell yeah! Ride bikes!

I’d more than jump on that bandwagon if I didn’t work in Federal Way…

I’d ride a bike to the Leon Redbone concert if it wasn’t for the pain of returning late at night. Bus maybe…
