The Night the Music Died

The Seattle Nightlife and Music Association [SNMA] is a coalition of people involved in the bar, club and music industry here in Seattle, organized to try and keep our city officials from wiping out Seattle’s vibrant nightlife scene. It’s a tough job and they can’t do it alone–they need your help, too. That’s why tonight the SNMA members (which is just about everyone with a bar or club) are holding “The Night the Music Died”.

If you’re out at a club or bar tonight at midnight, you’ll be there as bar and club owners cut off the music and service for five minutes to demonstrate what would happen if the anti-nightlife goons win. The SNMA site gives you all kinds of information on the issues affecting Seattle’s bars and clubs. Read through the archives of The Stranger for more. Don’t be silent–or our bars and clubs will be.
