Today’s pollyanna post : taxi and market edition

I want to put a little spacer between my outrage of yesterday and my next panties-in-a-bunch post, SO…

Do you know that in 10 short days, my - and all other people who hail from the West Side - life will be perked up immeasurably? Yup, I’m officially starting the countdown for the two great community features us west siders have in the summertime:

#1 The Elliott Bay MF Water Taxi
AND
#2 The West Seattle Farmer’s Market

YAYAYAY!

If you have not ridden the Water Taxi, plan on taking a free ride on Sunday, April 29th and getting some free ice cream (how can you turn down free ice cream?). I guarantee you will feel very fancy and spoiled… [mkc]

Anybody want to join my coalition to provide water taxis instead of viaduct/bridge replacements? There will be punch and pie.

EDIT: PS April 29th is also the last day of the Bodies Exhibit, so if you are like me and have been procrastinating on seeing that, you only have 10 more days. [bodies]

As a recent transplant from Cap Hill to W. Seattle, yes, yes I would like to join your coalition. I would like punch and pie. I would also like to suggest the addition of more trolleys to our lives. Ding ding! Next stop, punch and pie!

I would join the coalition even without the punch and pie* because I love the water taxi. I make completely pointless trips across the water just to ride it. It’s awesome.

*Note: This doesn’t mean I’m renouncing my claim to any punch and pie, however.

    SPOILER ALERT.

Just for C Ro and her steadfast enthusiasm for the EBWT:

We’ll have a couple non-alc drink specials for the first day of Water Taxi: the Seacrest Sunrise (OJ, vanilla syrup, and a splash of grenadine) and the Dow Constantini (cranberry juice, huckleberry syrup and a squeeze of lime).

See you all at the festivities!
