25 for $25, except…not

Ever eager to share cheap(ish) food with the masses in the form of month-long promotions, NWSource is sponsoring a 25 for $25 spawn called “New Urban Eats.” Running May 1-31, this promotion includes restaurants selected according to criteria that look suspiciously like an IRS tax code:

“New Urban Eats” focuses upon fine dining restaurants which have opened in the last 3 years (2004 or later), are independent concepts, have received a major daily review of “two stars” or better on average (or are too new to have been reviewed), and whose dinner price points skew slightly above mid-range (a $$$). This annual promotion’s collection of restaurant participants will constantly refresh with the latest restaurants to hit the local dining scene, as only restaurants that have opened in the past 3 years will be eligible.

Alright then! The list of restaurants includes Cremant, Crush, Dinette, Lola, Veil, and others. Personally, I’m holding out for the “$25 for 25″ promotion, where you pay $25 and get 25 things–say, erasers, or rubber ducks, or cute boys with glasses. A girl can dream, right?
