Legislature watch
The current session of our Washington State Legislature is coming to a close in the next two weeks meaning that our legislators are hard are work crafting laws. Ever wonder what that process entails for our elected representatives? Visit the Legislature page [page] of the official State of Washington site and click on the appropriate tabs and links to see the day’s committee meetings, legislator information; find your legislative district; and track the status of bills before the houses.
One of the things I found most interesting was the document that listed “Bills clearing latest cutoff date” , a guide to bills which passed both houses as of April 13, the most recent cutoff date. Bills on the list include HB 1047 which concerns alcohol content in food products and confections and SB 5560 “Making changes of a technical nature to tax laws”.
