Friday film agenda

If you love movies, tonight’s a good night to check one out:

  • Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary Iraq in Fragments kicks off its final weekend in Seattle with a 5:00 pm showing at the Grand Illusion.
  • Stick around or stop by later in the evening to see Grand Illusion’s second show, Rubin and Ed, a film about an odd road trip starring Crispin Glover and Howard Hessman. Film at 11, admission only $1.
  • Midnight at the Egyptian this week: Trainspotting, a sometimes bleak but always human portrait of a group of disaffected Scottish young adults.
  • Over at NWFF tonight at 7 and again at 9 is the opening night for Wild Tigers I Have Known, the story of a young boy’s crush on an older boy and the lengths to which he goes to form a connection.
