Under new management: Wild Waves

The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that Wild Waves & Enchanted Village [site] has a new owner - Orlando, Florida-based CNL Income Properties who bought the park and seven others in a $312 million dollar deal. Park-Info233x142.jpg

In one of those complicated business scenarios I will hopefully understand when I finally get around to finishing my business degree, CNL bought the parks from an affiliate of PARC Management, LLC, and then leased the park back to PARC, who will actually operate the park. PARC purchased the parks earlier in the year from Six Flags. The parks in the package include locations in Denver, Buffalo, Oklahoma City, Houston and Concord, CA. (I’ve been to the park in Denver; as I recall, it wasn’t a bad park, although by the time I’d gone, I’d already spent a meaningful portion of my teenaged years living close to Disneyland and the Denver park suffered by the comparison)

No word yet on if the new owners plan to change admission fees (is it just me or is $30 way too costly for what you get at the park?) or make changes to the facilities.

I wish to all the gods that this place would turn into a world class amusement park. I long for good roller coasters that I don’t have to travel to the midwest for.
