| The Ballard Jazz Festival [site] returns for the fourth year with a hot line up of artists, including the Paris-based Moutin Reunion Quartet, New York’s Carl Allen Trio, and the 2nd annual Festival Big Band, an all-star collection of musicians from high schools around Seattle. The festival also features workshops with festival performers, the Ballard Avenue Jazz Walk (during which over 40 NW artists perform in 11 different clubs along Ballard Ave)and Brotherhood of the Drum at the Tractor Tavern which features bands led by prominent Seattle-based drummers. |
