Happy First Day of Spring, redux

As I mentioned yesterday, today’s the day the Pike Place Market gives out daffodils to celebrate the first day of spring. I got a few to bring back to the office so I could share with my co-workers. Everyone who see the daffodils smiles–bright yellow flowers are very cheery–but while I was out on the street I was surprised by how many people seemed taken aback by their distribution. Is flower-phobia more common than I previously imagined? (Since I hadn’t previously imagined this at all, even one person suffering from it is more than I’d imagined.) In any case, chilly air temp and semi-gray skies notwithstanding, I hope everyone is enjoying the day. daffodil%20small.jpg
