Hop Scotch Beer & Scotch Festival
| For those who like to plan ahead, here’s your notice that on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, Fremont Studios will be home to the Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch festival. Tickets from $20 - $35 give you admission to the festival and a souvenir cup that allows you to sample various beers and/or whiskeys. | In addition to the beer and Scotch (as if that weren’t enough!), Hop Scotch features food from local pubs (TS McHugh’s, the Blarney Stone and Mulleady’s), music (including the Dudley Manlove Quartet and Optimus Rhyme) and sponsor booths. As an added bonus, there are TVs onsite so no one has to miss out on their basketball viewing.
Every time I’ve gone to one of these events I’ve enjoyed it, they’re always fun and everyone’s in a good mood. In fact, it’s enough of a good time that one of my friends goes and she drinks neither beer nor whiskey (I’ve never understood how anyone could dislike either, but I suppose we all have our own tastes), she just enjoys the vibe.
