- James Brown, who died last year and completely, unsurprisingly, and appropriately upstaged Gerald Ford’s funeral, is back. At least in film form. - Rivet’s new issue, featuring writing and art by the likes of Anne Mathern, Kristen Ramirez, Jennifer Zeyl and Leah Baltus, is all about secrets. The launch party, while not held at an undisclosed location suitable for a reclusive vice president, is nonetheless in a tucked away on First Hill venue. If you haven’t already discovered the warm embrace of the eclectically-decorated Hideout (1005 Boren), tonight’s event (which includes an interactive confession booth) is as good an excuse as ever. Once you’ve reveled in the semi-reclusive setting and marveled at the eclectic art collection, you’ll wish that you were the only person who knew about it. [rivetmagazine]
