Hehehe. I'll save you guys a seat when gas hits $10 a gallon. Ever heard of peak oil?

Jason - Yeah, I agree. BRT sucks compared to other options. I threw it into that scenario as a temporary solution that could be implemented relatively quickly until other transit options could be developed.

While the bus rapid transit idea is a nice one, it's totally unrealistic. I'm just going to come out and say it and be the bad guy who is out to kill the environment. DON'T TELL ME HOW TO GET WHERE I NEED TO GO! I bought a damn car so I don't have to wait forever to get where I need to go; and let's face the facts a bus will never get you where you are going as fast as if you were to drive yourself there. It's a pipe dream to think that people are going to give up their cars for the bus.

you almost sounded like someone who wanted to be taken seriously until you brought up bus rapid transit.

i also don't think 1/3 of registered voters saying anything on an advisory vote will be taken that seriously. failure of political leadership, going all the way back to locke, is the only inarguable conclusion.

"Start the end of auto dependence"

This almost made coffee shoot out my nose ("ha ha, yeah, right after LA does the same").

Thanks for the funny.
