  • For one night only, the Northwest Film Forum screens Half-cocked, the “legendary” 1994 film in which indie rockers play kids pretending to be indie rockers. [nwff]

edit: Steven Levy did not write Freakanomics and he won’t be at the University Bookstore until Friday. If you’re in the mood for something bookish, N. Scott Momaday is speaking at Kane Hall.

Everyone (including Steve Jobs [apple]) thinks that DRM is lame. But everyone (except a certain NY State senator [giz]) is pretty keen on the iPod. Friday, Steven Levy visits the would be heart of Zune country to read from his book about why the iPod is so gosh darn awesome and world changing.     looking at the ubookstore site, the site the Levy talk is actually on Friday. And he actually didn’t write freakonomics — that was a Steven Levitt. Too confusing!
