Blarch Badness : West Seattle Regional round 1 predictions

As you may have noticed, the Blarch Badness tournament got started for real this morning in the West Seattle Regional bracket. Vegas shockingly did not publish the odds for today’s matches, but this Dick V. wannabe is ready (baby!) with predictions:

  • In the clash of the technology advice/media darlings, Glenn Fleishman will take out Duke-like blogger, Chris Pirillo. Although very similar in content and the fact that they have multiple outlets, the edge is going to be Fleishman’s self-described underdog status. Fans always love the underdog and this crazy tournament will be no exception.
  • Will Indie Radio kill the Print Star? Perhaps so. Didn’t more people vote in American Idol than in the recent federal election? Bodes well for music over politics.
  • Longtime blogger, Anita Rowlands battles group blog, Seattlest in what I believe will be a close match up. In the end, though, losers of Seattlest’s weekly trivia game will band together with Eastside meetup attendees to lift Rowland up in the polls for the win.
  • And finally, are pictures worth more than words? Seattle Daily Photo takes on and will lose to local doocing legend, Michael Hanscom in the day’s final match-up. I base this claim on the sole fact that SDP’s photos are way better than mine are and I’m jealous. So there.

Feel free to argue with my analysis in the comments, or by voting in the polls [mb].

For a Dickie V. wannabe, there’s a severe lack of incoherent screaming here.

Yeah, you’re definitely missing the “IT’S AWESOME BABEE” and “WHAT A DIAPER DANDY SEATTLE DAILY PHOTO IS!” And a reference to Duke wouldn’t hurt, either. :)

What are you talking about, Baby?! I totally mentioned those Cameron Indoor Players! But, yes, I thought about getting all uppercase, but I couldn’t stomach it.
