Searching for Snowplows

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but we’ve had a little bit of snow recently, and it looks like we might have some more tonight. As it turns out, the routes of the anti-ice trucks are not totally random, and can in fact be found in a handy brochure from SDOT. Just in case you needed proof that there’s no way you’ll be making it in to work tomorrow.

Also handy are the list of streets that are likely to be closed [SDOT} and the mission statement of the snow plan [SDOT].

It’s too bad that they’re not responsible for the sidewalks as well, since those are awfully treacherous as well.

Sorry, property owners are required to clean their sidewalks and their planting strips, even if they are not within their property lines. It is somewhere in the SMC.
Remember, we are suppose to clear the gutters of leaves as well. Oh, and make sure that the construction sites have removed the socks from the storm drains.

It all makes me ask, “what do we pay property taxes and building permit fees for?”

    Burt
