It seems that everyone knows someone (who knows someone) who has had the good fortune of being invited to the swank apartment at the top of the Smith Tower. They tell you of how insanely cool it was to squeeze into the illuminated globe from a narrow catwalk and ladder, and all that you can do is drool and wish that they’d taken pictures or thought to let you tag along.*
This is why the batch of pictures that showed up on the Seattle LJ community today are so thrilling. Sure, they’re PR photos from the design firm [castanes] that turned the one-time water tower into the city’s most coveted real estate, but it’s still pretty great to have a look inside.
