Saturday is Veterans’ Day

Local events in honor of the holiday:

The Everett Senior Activity Center is holding a USO Dance open to all vets, from 1 to 6 pm. They’re located at 3025 Lombard Ave; call 425-257-8700 for more information.
The annual Veterans Day Parade in Auburn kicks off at 11 am at East Main St and “J” Street.
Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park (11111 Aurora Ave. N.), Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 S.E. 240th St., Kent), and Acacia Memorial Park (14951 Bothell Way N.E, Shoreline) all have special memorial programs that start at 11 a.m.

The Seattle Veterans Museum, on the west side of Benaroya Hall, will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.

Seattle Public Library branches will be closed, as will most banks. There will be no home mail delivery except for Express Mail. Government offices that are usually open Saturday will most likely be closed: call first before going in.
Metro Transit is on holiday schedule; Sound Transit, Community Transit and Pierce Transit are on regular schedule. Washington State Ferries are also on regular schedule. Seattle parking meters & pay stations are free.
