An alert member of LJ Seattle points out that Simon “I’m more arrogant than you” Cowell of American Idol thinks that no one in Seattle can sing. Via IMDB:

“Seattle is going to be known for something other than coffee this year. They had the worst bunch of miserable singers that I’ve ever met in my life. It was two days of total misery. And the weather was bad, as well.”

The auditions were held on Talk Like A Pirate day. Apparently, no one stepped up to the plate and showed up in pirate regalia to sing sea shanties to him.

I myself take it as a great compliment that a half-assed reality TV show host can’t stand us. But if anyone has a different opinion, feel free to leave it in comments and we’ll pass it along.
