Top Chef 2, now with Seattle (sort of) bent
Because there are millions of reality shows out there and because I have a propensity for watching such ilk, I keep myself off the couch by limiting my intake to two shows a season. Sure it makes it difficult for me to stay on top of my pop-culture (or it would if I didn’t spend my work days catching up via TWOP ahem), but I really need less reasons to be lazy.
Last season, one of the shows I watched was Top Chef. It just sucked me in, like all the good reality shows do. I mean, that Stephen guy? Best. Reality. Contestant. Ever. Or really damn close. Not to mention the fact that Bravo has the balls to allow these reality show contestants to bring their own knives. Plus, it’s about food. That in itself is usually enough for me. So naturally, I’m pretty psyched that the new season starts this week.
You might be asking yourself, how does this at all relate to Seattle? Weeell, turns out one of the second season’s contestants, one Marcel Vigneron calls Bainbridge his hometown. I think that’s enough of a link, right? If you like this sort of thing, and I know you do, catch the season premiere by merely not changing the channel after Project Runway’s finale tomorrow night.
