- Amid the Mars Hill popular webmedia hullabaloo, it’s hard to forget that the Paradox does a bang-up job of scheduling lots of great music to keep the space occupied when the church isn’t occupying it with controversy. A decidedly uncontroversially good lineup tonight is worth the bus ride to Ballard: we’ve said plenty of nice things about BOAT [mb], and finally getting around to seeing Speaker Speaker at the Capitol Hill Block Party was among that weekend’s highlights. Tonight they’re joined by what sounds like an indie sci-fi experiment gone horribly right: members of the Promise Ring + a member of the Dismemberment Plan, joining together Voltron-style to form a poppy behemoth called Maritime.
