While I’m off exploring the wilds of central Oregon this weekend, I leave you all in the capable hands of the Seafair organizers who will see to all of your Loud Engine needs for the weekend with the Chevrolet Cup and the Keybank Air Show.

The Chevrolet Cup (hydro races) takes place August 4 – August 6 at Southwest Lake Washington, Stan Sayres Pit Area near Genesee Park. Gates open 8:30 am on Friday, 11:00 am on Saturday and 7:30 am on Sunday. (Complete schedule available on the Seafair site.)

The Keybank Air show takes place August 4 – August 6 at Southwest Lake Washington, near Genesee Park (and all over the airspace over the city.) Flight times are: Friday, August 4: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.; Saturday, August 5, 2006: 1:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m.; and Sunday, August 6, 2006: 1:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m.

Don’t forget that Seafair means I-90 bridge closures: Friday, August 4- 12:45 p.m. – 2:40 p.m. (practice show); Saturday, August 5- 12:45 p.m. – 2:40 p.m. (full show); and Sunday, August 6- 12:45 p.m. – 2:40 p.m. (full show)
