Your autobiography here

Somebody in Philadelphia had a brilliant idea:

Invite everyone in the city to submit a life story, or a story from their life, 300 words or less.

Host writing workshops to encourage folks unsure about their writing skills to give it a shot.

Wait for submissions. (Philly had 340 over a six week period.)

Have a panel of writers, or local celebs, or both, pick the top 20 submissions.

Print the top 20 submissions on full-size posters, along with pictures of the writers. Put up the posters at bus stops or other public locations throughout the city.

It’s called the Autobiography Project, and I want one for Seattle. Anybody else?

H#ll yeah! That’s an awesome idea. Seattle is full of amazing people, and I for one would like to know more of their stories.

    I think it’s a great idea, too.

I’d be willing to work on a project like that if other people want to get involved, too.

Anyone know someone at the Richard Hugo House? This might be right up their alley…
