The body as a temple
This afternoon while I was out running errands I found myself feeling guilty for skipping the gym and decided to go for a long walk to make up for it. Since I was near Seattle University, I decided around the campus, expecting it to be empty I was very surprised to discover a whole bunch of people exerciing, reading, walking their dogs, or just sitting out and enjoying the sun. I’ve lived in First Hill for a decade and this is the first I ever knew of just how many of my neighbors spend their summer afternoons at SU. Signs on campus indicate that SU welcomes neighbors to use their facilities so long as this use doesn’t interfere with official campus events. It’s amazing what you can find in your own neighborhood sometimes.
