Not that you really need an excuse to visit Port Townsend, but just in case: Legendary skater (and artist and environmental activist) Peggy Oki will be in beautiful Port Townsend on Wednesday, July 12, for the first Girls Rock Skate Jam at the Port Townsend Skateboard Park. The jam starts at 1, Ms. Oki’s appearance (skating and judging a “Best Bert” contest) is scheduled for 2 and at 4:30 the nearby Boiler Room hosts a viewing of Dogtown and Z-boys, followed by a 7 pm show by local rock group Innuendo.
