Roses are red…yellow, pink…etc.

Even in the lousiest winter weather it’s hard for me to be in the area and not stop in at the Rose Garden and now all the things that make the Rose Garden good are that much better. Like many other parks in Seattle, the Woodland Park Rose Garden has benefitted from some restoration work (thanks again, Seattle voters!): two fountains, a reflecting pool, and the Art Deco 1924 Bas Relief sculpture have been rescued from neglect and disarray and restored to their original beauty.
The Seattle Parks Foundation is celebrating the restoration work this weekend with a toast, refreshments and a short program.
