Since I’m not one to discourage people from getting dressed up and acting silly in public [mb], I don’t want to miss a chance to mention next Saturday’s Urban Golf game. Show up at 2:00 at Cal Anderson with a team, “a golf club (found cheap at Goodwill + we’ll have a few loaners), your fanciest pants, the $3 fee and some cash for drinks.” The balls that they’ll be handing out will be high-density foam balls to keep you drunkards from any property damage.

The plan is to send a team out every 15 minutes or so. You’ll play through the hole, which ends up at a bar, and then go inside and drink until the next team shows up. It’s a costumed event, so please get out your argyle, knickers, and sweater vests, and don’t even try to pretend like you don’t have any.
