Seattle meet the Florida Cowboy
The Florida Cowboy is a wonderfully refresshing drink. it’s made from Jim Beam and Orange Juice. it’s new, it’s unique, it’s great tasting. i have had them in Portland, Denver, and now in Seattle. I’ve introduced numerous bartenders to the drink and they love it.
Next time you’re out, try a Florida Cowboy.

oh SNAP!, there is a name out there for this drink. i have been asking bartenders everywhere if they had ever heard of jb and orange juice and was getting nothing, so i made up a name and started propogating it.
i’ll have to rethink my drink….
thanks oldbartender
I’m wondering when the last “original” cocktail was made up. I mean, liquor hasn’t really changed much in the last 50 years (as far as I know of at least) and mixers seem pretty standard too. Anyone know when the last original cocktail was created?
i was thinking about that too. while alcohol hasn’t changed much, i can think of a new mixer- Red Bull. anything with Red Bull would be considered a “new” cocktail eventhough it’s just a substitute for something else. just a thought.
