		<description>Options are limited in April and May to be sure, but there are plenty of low-elevation hikes: the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail and Rattlesnake Ledge out of North Bend, Oyster Dome off Chuckanut Drive, Barclay Lake Trail just east of Index to name a few. And like you say, lots of low-elevation, early-season hikes on the Peninsula. Do a search on Karen Sykes PI columns (Take a Hike) for more suggestions.
