AveWatch: Atoms to eBits
Frequent readers of AveWatch will remember this post from January where we marked the passing of the venerable Newberry Books. Looks like a replacement has finally arrived: a screwdriver-shop retail PC establishment, promising Sales, Service and Repair of laptop computers. Apparently, they will also run a side business in extremely ugly window grates — or perhaps that’s just what the insurance company wanted given the Ave’s reputation.
Either way, books had better not ask for whom the bell tolls… it’s been a bad season for independant bookstores all over the West Coast.
