duckling cuteness battle
Last week, media outlets from as far away as Oregon were all atwitter about the family of ducks that had taken up residence on the campus of Seattle University [mb]. Earlier this week, I was walking through Cal Anderson park and noticed that the SU ducklings weren’t the only game in town when it comes to Capitol Hill cuteness overload.
Can one neighborhood stand so much fluffiness? Sure, both clutches of ducklings are adorable. But which is the cutest? I think that it’s time for a cute-off reminiscent of last year’s Fankick! vs. Streetbeat dance-off to determine the winner of the battle of the most beloved baby ducks.
Note: there sure are a lot of collective nouns for groups of ducks — badelynge, brace (a pair), brood, flight, flush (group rising from the water), gathering, raft, bunch, paddling (party on water), safe (two ducks), sore (two ducks), team (a brood of young ducks in flight) [rspb]

Actually. The SU ducks moved over the weekend to the Cap Hill park. They walked themselves up Madison on Sat morning.
Really? That duckling parade must have been cuteness overload to witness!
