new kid on the block : kexp weblog
As if being the city’s most beloved station of all time wasn’t enough, KEXP has never been satisfied with just having people listen to them on the radio. First, it was streaming audio and extensive internet archives, then it was the ever-expanding collection of regularly-updated podcasts [#]. Not to mention live broadcasts and killer fundraisers. Now, they’ve further upped the ante by joining the weblog revolution: depts.washington.edu/kexp/blog/.
It launched on Monday. In their first day, they used it to talk about what you’d expect a radio station to write about: upcoming on air programming, a recap of a live broadcast, hyping artists and downloadable tracks, promoting their trip to new york, and remembering a favorite musician. So far, the content has been written by KEXP itself, as well as John (in the Morning) and Lisa Wood (from Audioasis). If you’re the sort who just can’t get enough KEXP, this is probably just the link to feed your hungry RSS reader.
(Minor quibble: maybe it’s just my connection, but as of last night their site seemed to be running exceptionally slowly.)

Oh, Josh, I hate to be persnickety here, but, seriously, the most beloved station of all time is either KYYX or the pre-suck KJR.
